Lucien Palmer CAS, is a re-recording mixer and supervising sound editor, and the owner of Toolshed Audio Post in Los Angeles.

Raised in both Detroit and Dallas, Lucien studied piano and guitar in his early years before becoming an electronic music artist in the late 1990s. He transitioned into post-production in 2004 as a sound effects editor, moved into dialogue editing in 2008, and ultimately into mixing and supervision.

Lucien was a 2025 Music+Sound Awards nominee for his work on the Netflix series Mo (A24). In 2020, he mixed and supervised the Academy Award–nominated documentary Walk, Run, Cha-Cha. Recently, he mixed three films at SXSW 2026, including Summer 2000: The X-Cite Story, where he served as supervising sound editor, re-recording mixer, and music editor. That film received the Jury Award for Best Documentary.

He is an active contributor to the professional audio community, serving as moderator of the Sound Mixer Peer Circle for the Television Academy and as a member of the Cinema Audio Society’s Committee for Industry Technical Standards.
