Music Connection Magazine hailed Winifred Phillips a “Superstar of video game music.”

Her credits include games in five of the most popular franchises in gaming: Assassin’s Creed, God of War, Total War, LittleBigPlanet and The Sims. Phillips’ music has been featured in trailers for blockbuster movies such as Avengers Endgame and The Jungle Book, as well as television programs such as Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown.

Music from Phillips’ award-winning Assassin’s Creed Liberation score is currently being performed live by a top 80-piece orchestra and choir as part of the Assassin’s Creed Symphony World Tour, which kicked off in June 2019 with its Paris premiere.

Phillips recently delivered the first video game music composition lecture ever given at the Library of Congress in Washington DC. Invited to speak by the Music Division of the Library of Congress, Phillips delivered the concluding presentation to a packed lecture hall in the Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress during their premiere event celebrating video game music. Phillips’ enthusiastic fans showered her with questions during a Reddit Ask-Me-Anything session that hit the Reddit front page, received 14.9 thousand upvotes, and became one of the most popular gaming AMAs ever hosted on Reddit.

Among her 18 soundtrack albums is the first videogame soundtrack ever released by WaterTower Music, the film music record label of Warner Bros. Pictures. Phillips is the author of the award-winning bestselling book, A Composer's Guide to Game Music, published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Press.

Phillips has received an Interactive Achievement Award / D.I.C.E. Award from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, three Hollywood Music in Media Awards, six Game Audio Network Guild Awards, five Global Music Awards, an IGN Best Score Award, a GameSpot Best Music Award, a GameZone Score of the Year Award, a GameFocus Award, and three Gracie Awards from the Alliance of Women in Media.

Timo Blunck is a musician, composer and author, living in Hamburg and Berlin, Germany. His company BLUT has offices in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. Timo started out as a pop star: his band ’Palais Schaumburg' is still considered one of the most groundbreaking acts in German music history. His novel 'Hatten wir nicht mal Sex in den 80ern?' ('Didn't We Have Sex in the 80s?) was published in 2018.

As a composer, he has been responsible for hundreds of soundtracks for film, advertising and scenography. His recent work with BLUT includes the music for the car built around the rapper (Volkswagen / Beats by Dr. Dre), the blind photographer (Volkswagen Arteon) and the entire ’Die Limo' campaign with Joko & Klaas. He personally weathered the shit-storm over the Japanese schoolgirl buying sweaty underpants (courtesy of the hard working men at Hornbach).

Timo has won everything from a Gold Lion to a Gold Clio. He took home the DWP Award in 2017 and received the Red Dot Award for Corporate Sound for SCHÜCO. He is a member of the ADC and keeps numerous nails somewhere in his kitchen drawer. He has judged multiple festivals, including Clio, ADC, Ciclope and DWP.

Timo is currently preparing for another tour with Palais Schaumburg and writing his next book, which will be released in 2021.

Joris de Man is a two time Ivor Novello-winning and Bafta-nominated composer with 25 years of experience scoring for video games, animation, film, TV and commercials.

With compositions crossing many styles, from glitchy electronica to orchestral sounds and hybrid acoustical minimalism, his focus has always been on strong, recognisable melodies and story-driven music that supports the emotional journey and personality of the characters it voices.

Known for the epic live orchestral scores to the first 3 titles in Guerrilla Games / Sony's ‘Killzone’ franchise, other recent works include Guerrilla's recent Playstation 4 blockbuster 'Horizon Zero Dawn’; its DLC 'Horizon Zero Dawn - The Frozen Wilds’; MOBA hit 'Vainglory’, used for Apple’s iPhone 6 launch; and live orchestral score for Bafta-winning director Mike Mort's animated feature, 'Chuck Steel - Night of the Trampires’

Joris has recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, and with world-class London session players at Abbey Road and Air Studios, for the award winning scores to Killzone 2 and 3, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Getting Joris to write for your production is not just about music, his approach to composing takes in a complete sonic view. Sculpting a distinct palette, discerning sounds from tone, and finessing the mix, he creates a score that complements the visual experience, keeping audiences immersed.

In 2005, Ian began to enjoy success as a Freelance Music Supervisor with many credits including CONTROL by Anton Corbin; JOE STRUMMER-THE FUTURE IS WRITTEN by Julien Temple; KIDULTHOOD & ADULTHOOD; ROCKNROLLA, NOWEHERE BOY, 127 HOURS & SEX & DRUGS AND ROCK & ROLL, which Ian is also an Executive Producer. His film successes with Sony have included The INBETWEENERS, KICK ASS 2, I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES and LAST CHRISTMAS soundtracks and many more. In the world of advertising: PALOMA FAITH’S cover of Never Tear Us Apart & TOM ODELL’S Real Love both in the coveted John Lewis advertising spots. Most recently in 2015 Xmas campaigns, two top 5 hits for GRACE on House of Fraser and FLEUR EAST for Asda.

Ian and his team were also responsible for the much-publicised brands tie-in of Daft Punk and the Lotus formula one team. Uptown Funk by MARK RONSON & BRONO MARS became the biggest synch track in 2015 and in 2017 was instrumental in the RAG N BONE success, having secured many synchs around the globe. In 2018 the Skoda campaign, which featured Paloma Faith was also a much coveted synch/brand partnership for Sony. TOM WALKERS “Leave a Light On” also became a huge hit partly down to a global Sony Bravia synch. Now within 4th floor Creative, Ian and his dept are working ever closer with the brands and content dept and has some exciting projects lined up for 2020.

It was on a hot summer day in 1992 that Capetonian Shai Caleb discovered his grandad’s drum kit and thus the love for music. In Cape Town, he founded Dreamspace Studios which became one of the top 3 recording studios for commercials and recording artists. Here Shai discovered the undeniable value of linking real artists with brands and got nominated for a few advertising and music awards.

In 2012, after discovering its dirty-but-sexy side, he relocated to Berlin, where he still lives with his family and where he eventually met his best friend and business partner Gordian Gleiß. Together, the inseparable duo founded ginger.berlin which eventually became GINGER x MassiveMusic in 2019.

GINGER is the boutique think-tank to MassiveMusic’s international garrison. The Berlin-based extended arm of international creative music agency MassiveMusic focuses on a local approach for the German market. GINGER x MassiveMusic has that unique, crafty touch that goes beyond the advertising industry’s current status quo, by offering agencies and brands new ways to experience the musical side of their stories.
